ABC Institute Welcomes Sam Wilcox to Its Board of Directors
COCONUT CREEK, FL date – ABC Institute Apprenticeship College (ABCI), the educational and training arm of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter, announced the appointment of Sam Wilcox to its Board of Directors. Wilcox, a seasoned consultant and business strategist, brings years of leadership, management, and marketing expertise to ABCI’s board.
Wilcox is the Vice President and Chief Strategist for Harm Reduction Center, a Florida-based comprehensive outpatient behavioral health specialty group that applies evidence-based treatment to address the matters that contribute to trauma, addiction and psychiatric concerns. Through this role, he has worked closely with ABC Cares on addressing mental health in the construction industry, specifically suicide prevention in the construction industry.
In addition, he serves as President of Wilcox Management LLC, where he oversees business consulting and strategy development for healthcare and government relations. He is a current board member of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter and a member of the Legislative Committee.
“We are excited to welcome Sam to our Board of Directors,” said Alberto Altamiranda, Director of Education of the ABC Institute. “His track record in managing successful businesses and his commitment to fostering community relationships align perfectly with ABCI’s mission of providing quality, debt-free training for the next generation of skilled workers in Florida’s construction industry.”
As Florida’s single largest provider of apprenticeship education, ABC Institute equips students with vital skills and real-world experience while enabling them to graduate without the burden of tuition debt. ABCI provides training in seven trades on ten campuses throughout the state and invests over $2.6 million annually in local construction education and training. With a growing need for skilled laborers in the face of a worker shortage, ABC Institute is committed to being a beacon of opportunity and innovation.
Wilcox’s appointment comes at a time when ABC Institute is expanding its reach to serve more individuals, particularly millennials drawn to the construction trades. By providing high-quality, tuition-free education, ABCI helps bridge the gap between the demand for skilled workers and the rising costs of traditional education.
