ABC Institute Apprenticeship College (ABCI) celebrated 110 graduates across seven trades in a powerful ceremony on July 12, marking both personal triumphs and a shared milestone: ABCI’s 50th anniversary. These graduates completed their apprenticeships through hard work, grit, and resilience, stepping into the workforce equipped with the skills to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Held at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, the ceremony featured Florida Representative David Borrero and the inaugural presentation of the Ron Pearson Student of the Year Award, honoring an enduring legacy of service and dedication. The first recipient, Garry Maitland, an electrical graduate, exemplified the spirit of this achievement. Sandor Diz was the Valedictorian.
As Florida’s largest provider of construction apprenticeships, ABCI once again affirmed its role as the state’s leading expert in workforce development. This graduation wasn’t just a celebration; it was a pivotal step toward addressing the construction staffing shortage and transforming lives through opportunities.
