ABC Cares Foundation Names Matt Abeles as Trustee Member

COCONUT CREEK, FL – ABC Cares Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Abeles as Trustee to the Foundation Board.

In this role, Abeles will support the ABC Cares Foundation’s mission of providing rapid-response financial assistance to construction professionals and their families during challenging times, including extended illness, injury, and loss of life, whether on or off the job. ABC Cares Foundation also provides beneficiaries with access to free grief counseling and supports mental health initiatives serving the construction industry and nationwide disaster relief efforts.

Since its founding in 2009, ABC Cares Foundation has provided more than $576,000 in direct support to families in need, creating a national impact across the construction community.

“I am deeply honored to join the ABC Cares’ Board of Trustees and help advance its vital work,” said Abeles. “It is part of ABC’s mission to support the construction industry, its workers, and its communities. ABC Cares’ efforts to help contractor families in times of hardship are a complement to that mission. As the newest member of the Board of Trustees, I intend to support the hands-on impacts of ABC Cares.”

Abeles currently serves as Vice President of Construction Technology and Innovation for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National. In this role, he is responsible for educating  ABC members nationwide through multiple platforms, while collaborating closely with the technology community to deliver exclusive offerings, education and resources to ABC members and chapters. His work is focused on helping contractors improve safety, profitability and competitiveness through technology and innovation.

In addition to his leadership at ABC National, Abeles has advised and raised capital for numerous construction technology companies and is widely recognized as an industry leader in construction technology. He is the co-founder of BuiltWorlds, a media company and digital network serving leaders in construction, real estate, finance, and development through global events and industry research focused on next-generation technologies.
