A recent feature in Construction Executive magazine spotlighted the ABC Institute as we marked 50 years of leadership in workforce development. We are Florida’s largest apprenticeship provider, reinforcing our role as a national model for apprenticeship education.
The article highlights a recent visit from U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling, who toured ABCI’s programs and saw firsthand how Florida’s apprenticeship model is addressing the skilled labor shortage. With a tuition-free structure, apprentices earn wages while they learn and transition directly into the workforce, with nearly all graduates securing employment.
The story highlights that ABCI accounts for roughly 20% of apprentice enrollment in Florida, underscoring its leadership in workforce training.
