A Legislative Ally Meets ABC-FEC: Rep. Daley’s Visits ABCI

ABC Florida East Coast recently had the privilege of hosting State Representative Dan Daley from District 96, a strong advocate for apprenticeship education and a member of the Florida House Careers and Workforce Subcommittee. This first visit to ABCI gave him a clear look at how ABCI prepares the next generation of skilled professionals. Representative Daley met with President and CEO Peter Dyga, COO Sonny Maken, Director of Government Affairs T. J. Long, and Shawn Oden, Incoming Chair of the 2026 Legislative Committee, while Cristine Gonzalez and Gina Godette led the tour.

Rep. Daley, an FSU and NSU Law graduate, longtime Coral Springs resident, and prosecutor, has served in the Florida House since 2019 with a consistent focus on strengthening Florida’s workforce. His visit reaffirmed his interest in understanding ABC FEC’s training efforts firsthand and deepening the partnership that supports construction careers across the region.
