ABC FEC Leadership Travels to Washington for Apprenticeships for America Summit

ABC FEC continues strengthening its presence on the national workforce development stage as Chief Operating Officer Sonny Maken and Assistant Director of Government and Political Affairs Jon Carter traveled to Washington, D.C., for the Apprenticeships for America Summit, the nation’s premier gathering of apprenticeship leaders, policymakers, and workforce advocates.

During the visit, Maken and Carter met directly with members of Florida’s congressional delegation, including Chairman Brian Mast, Congressman Carlos Giménez, and Congressman Mike Haridopolos, to advocate for expanded apprenticeship opportunities and discuss federal issues impacting the construction industry. The meetings reinforced ABC FEC’s leadership role in workforce development and its ongoing commitment to advancing merit shop construction while helping build the next generation of skilled trades professionals needed to support Florida’s continued growth.
