ABC Institute Connects with Elevator Industry Leaders

ABC Institute’s Director of Education, Alberto Altamiranda, was recently invited to speak to the Elevator Association of Florida, where he highlighted the value of ABC membership and the real-world impact of apprenticeship education for employers and emerging talent. The discussion reinforced a shared priority: strengthening the pipeline of skilled professionals for Florida’s elevator industry.

Also discussed was ABCI’s work on developing an apprenticeship program for Certified Elevator Technicians, coming soon. Built on the proven “earn-while-you-learn” model of registered apprenticeship, a paid, structured on-the-job training is paired with related classroom instruction. This program will be designed to help elevator companies grow, train, and retain the workforce they need.
