From 1954 to Today: ABC’s Call Still Endures
October 9, 2025The 3-3-3 Starting Careers in Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program continues to open doors for individuals eager to build a career in the construction industry but unsure of where to begin. Now in its fourth cohort, the 27-hour course provides participants with hands-on exposure to the trades, foundational knowledge, and critical job-readiness skills.
Thanks to our funding structure, participants are paid for their time, mimicking the expectations and structure of real employment. This not only helps remove financial barriers but also sets a professional tone from day one.
For those who successfully complete the program and meet specific benchmarks, scholarships are awarded to cover their first year at ABC Institute Apprenticeship College (ABCI), allowing students to choose a trade pathway that suits their goals. In this cohort, students were selected to pursue Electrical, HVAC, and Line Erector programs.
