ABC Florida East Coast welcomed Palm Beach County Schools Superintendent Mike Burke and members of his leadership team to discuss workforce development, apprenticeship education, and the growing demand for skilled construction professionals. The visit highlighted opportunities to strengthen career pathways between K-12 education and the construction industry.
Burke and his team toured ABC Institute‘s electrical and HVAC training labs, where they saw firsthand how apprentices gain the technical skills and hands-on experience needed for high-demand careers while helping address Florida’s workforce shortage.
The meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration between education and industry leaders to expand apprenticeship opportunities and prepare the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
