ABC Institute welcomed its newest class of first-year apprentices, marking the beginning of their journey toward careers in Florida’s construction industry. During orientation, students learned about apprenticeship expectations, workplace safety, professional development, and the resources available to help them succeed. The incoming class includes future electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and other craft professionals who will help meet the growing demand for skilled workers across the state.
More than an introduction to the program, orientation signaled the start of a career built on hands-on training, classroom instruction, and mentorship from experienced industry professionals. Representing a wide range of backgrounds and career paths, these apprentices are preparing to become the next generation of construction leaders, strengthening Florida’s workforce while supporting the future of the merit shop construction industry.
