You may have thought unions have dried up and died in South Florida. That is not the case. Unions (and the NLRB) are still here. Recently, one of our long-time ABC members discovered that the Pipefitters Union was prowling around a couple of their job sites, talking to employees about the benefits of the union. We are also aware of similar efforts by a union to salt the jobs of one of our members.
So, this is the time for our members to confirm that their operations are in good shape. That your supervisors know your position on remaining union-free, and that you have an action plan ready to go should a union attempt to interfere with your business. In that regard, ABC-FEC will host a confidential webinar on maintaining your union-free status.
