New Trustees Join ABC Cares Board
October 14, 2025ABC Institute Apprenticeship College (ABCI) continues expanding its statewide footprint, solidifying its position as Florida’s leader in workforce development, workforce placement, and apprenticeship education. With 13 active campuses in Coconut Creek, Fort Lauderdale, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, Tamarac, Davie, Miami, Doral, Sanford, Titusville, and Hialeah, ABCI remains the single largest apprenticeship education provider in the state. Building on this vision, we are launching new programs to ensure even greater access to career-building opportunities.
To meet the growing demand for skilled workers, ABCI has partnered with industry leaders to open new programs across Florida. In Cocoa Beach, Wilco Electrical, LLC is hosting a linemen program; in Mims, Ramage Septic & Plumbing is sponsoring a plumbing program; in Riviera Beach, Alpadex Plumbing is leading a new plumbing cohort; and in Davie, Thermal Concepts is supporting a pipefitting program. These additions expand our roster of trades and provide apprentices with the opportunity to train close to home while preparing for rewarding careers.
In addition, LEBS Electric, in Manatee County, recently hired three ABCI pre-apprentices and, impressed by their quality, is preparing to hire 20 more for an upcoming project. This confidence from contractors underscores the strength of ABCI’s training model and demonstrates how, together, we are building a strong pipeline of skilled workers for Florida’s future.
- LEBS Electricity has already hired 3 ABCI pre-apprentices and needs 20 more for an upcoming project.
- Alpadex, based in Riviera Beach, will start a plumbing program within the next few months.
